There Are Several Ways To Get Involved:

We are hoping to build up archives of Derbyshire’s LGBT History and Community so please make your contribution by sending us any photographs, documents, newspaper cuttings that document Our Derbyshire LGBT history and community to derbysrainbowfringe@gmail.com
Tell Us Your Story
Whatever your age, if you’ve got an interesting LGBT connection to Derbyshire we’d love to come and interview you. Make sure your life-story is preserved, and shared with the generations to come. If you don’t live in the UK anymore, email us.
Donations
DRFF is a not for profit organisation dedicated to showcasing and celebrating LGBT life and community in Derbyshire. We are happy to receive donations in money and kind.
Donate it to us – anything from your collection of lesbian pulp fiction to 50s muscle magazines; Stonewall memorabilia; GLF badges from the 70s to any LGBT event flyers from the 1980s, 90s and up to the present; Gay May Day Leaflets and Information; Photographs at you and your friends going way back….. We’ll love and treasure them forever.
Become A Friend of DRFF
You’ll receive our fabulous twice-yearly newsletter, as well as exclusive invitations to Festival events. We have no public funding and rely entirely on the LGBT community to help support our work. Subscriptions will run from January to January, and the current rates are £10 waged, £6 unwaged. Drop us a line at the contact address.

DRFF is run by a small group of volunteers. We need more people to get involved, to help out at various events and to give of their time and expertise. Whether you are an artist , sports enthusiast or someone who wants to give something back please contact us and get involved.

- Transcription, summarising and indexing of taped life-stories.
- Archiving: preserving tapes and manuscripts, collecting journals, newspapers, leaflets, artefacts [banners, clothes etc], photographs.
- Searching Derbyshire newspapers for LGBT material.
- Supporting and communicating with other LGBT groups.
- Computer cataloguing the archive.
- Exploring further possibility of Lottery and other funding ideas.
