Welcome

Derbyshire Rainbow Fringe Festival. We are a non profit organisation working towards increasing the visibility (in terms of provision and inclusion) of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans community in the areas of arts, heritage and sport in Derby and Derbyshire. Building on the unprecedented success of the inaugural Festival (June 25th- 28th, 2009) organised under the umbrella of Derbyshire Friend (Registered Charity Number 1088868) as a lead up to Derby Goes Pink on July 4th, The Fringe is already in the planning stages for 2010. DRFF, underpinned by an awareness and appreciation of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans) history and community, proudly proposes a diverse annual programme of events which span the arts, heritage and sport.
We are a progressive grassroots organisation and welcome feedback and comments on what we do. Suggestions and your expertise are also always welcomed. Visit our ‘Get Involved’ page to see how you can help us and your community both directly and indirectly. We realise that not everyone can or wishes to be a volunteer but we want and need you ideas, memorabilia, your goodwill and support. Be part of the Rainbow Tree of Life depicted by our logo and reaffirm the fact that ‘From Acorn to Oak Tree, Our Diversity is Our Strength’.
We hope that you all come and celebrate with us!
